Harmonium Choral Society invites you to experience Season of Blessings on Saturday, December 13 at 7:30pm and Sunday December 14th at 3:00pm at the Presbyterian Church in Morristown, 57 E Park Pl, Morristown, NJ. The performances offer an immersive musical journey highlighting the blessings in our lives. Tickets are good for either day.
At the heart of the concert is the East Coast premiere of Prayer to the Shechinah by Andrea Clearfield, exploring the intersection of faith and femininity. Also included are Vaclav Nelhybel’s rousing Estampie Natalis, based on a 13th-century dance, and works by Palestrina, Bach, Nunes Garcia, Carol Barnett, Alice Parker and more, culminating in Craig Courtney’s hilarious Musicological Journey Through the Twelve Days of Christmas. Season of Blessings features instrumentalists Kris Lamb, flute and piccolo; Michael Holak, cello; Kimberly Love, viola; John Leister, percussion; and John Girvin, piano and organ.
