Audition for Harmonium’s 2026-2027 Season

The chorus rehearses Sunday evenings in Madison NJ (Grace Church).

Singers who audition should be experienced choral singers and sight-readers. Admission is highly selective. The conductor will vocalize you and test your range, ear, musicianship, and sight-reading. A prepared solo is requested to show off your strengths in something you know—it need not be long or complex—art song, hymn, folk song, music theater, or choral excerpt.

We are a community of music teachers and church musicians among many vocations. Most solo work is auditioned within the group-lots of opportunities!

This year’s concerts are:

December 12 (7:30pm) and 13 (3pm) featuring Pinkham’s Christmas Cantata with brass and an eclectic mix of composers from the Renaissance to today

Monteverdi Vespers of 1610 Sunday April 11, 3 pm with the Sebastians (Baroque Orchestra)

June 5 (7:30pm) and June 6 (3pm) 30th anniversary HS composition contest and more

You can sing one or all concerts. There are other opportunities for community singing throughout the year.

Membership fee is $200 for the year.
